Welcome to my site! My name is Alicia and I was born in Melrose Park (Chicago, IL - the windy city) in the fall of 1976. My family and I moved down to the sunshine state (Miami to be exact) when I was just a little under two years old. Miami has been our home ever since - a place we call Paradise where palm trees sway twelve months out of the year.

In times of hardship, I found that writing has become one of my greatest passions. It also has become my way of channeling through my emotions. Here, I built a safe haven where I can write freely and share my experiences, thoughts, triumphs as well as setbacks - a place where I can be true to myself and hopefully inspire others to do the same.
